Patricia McAdoo is a clinical psychologist with many years experience working in the Irish and UK health services. She is also a fiction writer and completed the M.A. in Writing Programme at the National University of Galway in 2004. Since then she has had a children’s book and short stories published. Her new book, Writing for Wellbeing was published by Currach Press in May 2013.

She holds an MSc in Strategy and Resource Management from the University of Northumbria at Newcastle upon Tyne and has worked extensively in the field of management training, producing management self development guides and case study and other training materials as well as online courses.

She combines all of these skills in her unique approach to writing for wellbeing. In recent years she has facilitated writing for wellbeing groups mainly in cancer support centres as well as teaching reflective writing seminars for health care services and other professional groups.

She lives with her family in Galway on the west coast of Ireland.
